Hi, I have helped a friend set up a 44 UK Gallon livebearer tank, with guppies, mollies, platys and swordtails.

Went to take some readings for him today, and it looks like a bunch of confused fish.

One of the male guppies trying it on with a female black molly.

Male swordtail getting frisky with the platies

Anyone else ever seen this?

Yeah my male yellow platy (crossbred with a swordtail) is always trying his luck with the 4 female guppies i have in my tank. Dont think you need to worry but im sure someone will point you in the right direction.

Dont worry anout it, the different species cannot interbreed

BigFish - are u sure it wasnt a female swordtail that mated with the male sword? The female swordtail and platy are VERY similar
