Hey, one of my kenyi cichlids is acting a little strange. The other day after i fed my fish, i noticed she wasnt eating and her throat was kinda swollen like she had eggs in her mouth. so i moved her to my breeder box and after about 15 minutes, she looked normal. i left her in there for 24 hours to watch her, then monday afternoon i let her back into the tank. I noticed its only when i feed them that she does this. she'll swim real fast and take one mouthfull and go hide inder the rocks and plants and her mouth will kinda swollen agin like shes got eggs or fry ibn her mouth. then it goes awai after like 15 minutes. Do you think she's having trouble swollowing the food? or maybe there are a few fry/eggs in her mouth and shes trying to eat around them? any information would be a help.
