I have read that it is almost impossible to determine gender on a common pleco... But just thought I'd give it a shot.I have been calling (Gator) a boy since the day I got him. And of course the uploader won't let me upload the pictures... So sorry again for the links....

No idea but what size tank is s/he in?
If its too small then that could explain why it's still small.

He is now in a 55gallon. And will have to be relocated to a bigger one if he reaches full size I know. He isn't exactly small. He's a good 6 or 7 inches. Has grown about two since I got him in January.

Okay, that's fine then.

Just beware that he may become stunted if left in that tank too long.

Yeah. He has tons of room right now. I'm keeping a close watch on him. And I will have to find somewhere to relocate him when he outgrows the 55. :( and most of those pics were Taken several months ago. Only two were recent.
