I have had a female dalmation molly for 5 months now and last night I was watching her and thought she looked different. I got on my phone and looked at pictures of her from the first few months I had her. She has completely changed color since those pictures. Is this normal for some mollies?

I do believe that colour changes in most livebearers is a common thing.

If I remember correctly the diet and water quality are the two contributers, but also it can come about with aging as well.

I don't think it's a cause for concern, but wait for someone else with more experience to come along and input their opinion so you can know for sure.

I had a male marble molly too, but he was not meshing well with our fish so we gave him to our neighbor...

He started mostly orange and turned nearly all black.

Before and after of him too.

it's not really a colour change when the fish grow and mature with age the small black pigmentation in the fish get larger and spread over a very high percentage of their body
