hi, i was wondering what would be the best way to attach a java fern to the top of a coconut cave?

regular old superglue? that you would use around the house or special aquarium stuff?

regular stuff - just check the ingredients and make sure that cyanoacrylate is the ONLY thing listed - it's aquarium safe.

Be warned that superglue turns white when added to the water, so tiny drops under the moss are required to conceal it.

Alternatively you could wrap a lot of cotton thread around the coconut until the moss clings on, but that's quite tricky.

I use the lead strips that bunched plants come wrapped in, make a loop and hook it over the plant then through the hole in the coconut. Can hardly see it.

I haven't tried it with moss yet (apart fom making 'ferns' for my pico MTS bowl), but I use superglue on all the other plants (anubias and Java ferns mostly) so much better than messing around with thread and wet hands, which is :shout:
