Well this has probably been discussed, but the search engine said "co2" was too short of a search term.

Anyway, when using a CO2 system is there special tubing that shoudl be used to deliver to the aquarium? I've heard that silicon and vinyl are too permeable? What kind of tubing should be used?

You can get special CO2 resistant tubing. CO2 does corrode normal silicon tubing, but not very fast. Maybe replace the tubing once a year just to be safe.

Normal plastic tubing should be fine.
No it isn't - not unless you really want to lose CO2. There has been an article and experiment on this - but can't remeber where. For the price of a piece of CO2 tubing (around £2) - it's worth saving.
Many places sell it online - including Aquaessentials.

mmm ok I guess the tubing with Nutrafin C02 kit is not normal plastic tubing then..

the kinda that is alright for CO2 tubing is the really flimsy stuff yeah? more... rubbery?
Nope not necessarily. I have 3 different kinds and they are all different colours and "feel". One is very soft. Another medium (such as normal tubing) and one very hard. So you can't go by what they look and feel like. You need to know what you're buying.
