Sorry this is probably an extermely easy question to answer but I can't find the answer anywhere. Is co2 tubing preety much universal for all pressurized co2 contaners, regulaters and the ceramic diffusers?

The tubing I was going to order says it 1/4 inch tubing for RO & CO2 Systems (blue) But the other Co2 tubng I find doesn't have a measurment for it. Also is co2 tubing smaller than regular airline tubing?

I also got my Eheim themofilter 2126 in the mail and it is amazing! Thanks in advance

My LFS compared the CO2 tubing from a Nutrafin kit to the general pond airline (non-silicone, quite 'plasticky') and told me that they were identical.

I have made a DIY CO2 system using this pond airline and all seems to be working ok. (hopefully they are the same?)

No they are not the same. Studies have been done (sorry can't remember where I read the results - probably on a couple of planted forums) on standard airline and CO2 tubing - and there is eventual loss when using standard airline.
Too many leading brand names manufacture special CO2 line for it to be a complete gimmick. ADA, JBL, Fishvet, Aquili etc.

:fun: Oh I knw that there was a diffrence between co2 and regular airline i was more curious to the sizing. Like would any co2 tubing fit my regulator and ceramic diffuser? The kind I was going to order is 1/4 inch wide and I was wondering if that sounded to small.

I was talking about the the airline tubing as in, is the co2 tubing about that size? Sorry if I was being confusing!

To the very best of my knowledge, they are all a standard size :good:
