:fun: Hi, I'd like to buy a proper co2 system, I've only ever used a D.I.Y system. I've been looking at a system called 'Hydor co2 green NRG exclusive system' priced at £79.99, but I don't know if its any good. Could anybody tell me if its any good or recommend another one. My tanks 250 litre with 4 x 38w t8's.

Its ok, but the CO2 cylinder you get with it is only 72g if I remember rightly. That aint gonna last long at all! Especially on a 250lt tank! And its a bit expensive too. I got a whole system, with pub type cylinder, diffuser and reg for around 85quid, and it'll last years before needing a refill. eBay is your friend when it comes to CO2.

Check my sig for a link to thread on pressurised CO2.

Thanks for your reply, but the idea of a big co2 cannister in my living room scares me a bit plus I haven't really got the space. What about this "Carbo plus electronic co2 system" its £89.99, but I saw a similar system on Ebay for £24.99 from Hong Kong. Do these work? I have read some of the threads on this, but trying to set up a D.I.Y system does worry me ( It would explode or something!!)

Ive heard mixed things about it, personally for the same money you can get better systems.

If you're not keen on having a big cylinder how about the 500g ones, they are about 12" tall. You could get a whole system for 110quid from aquatics-online.com, well if you're based in the UK anyway?
