my regulator seems to be naffed, when i attach it all the gas seems to escape out of the FE  so instead of spending another £60 on the same one could i get these two items:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270720469766?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250786299838?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

obviously theres no solenoid on it but could i buy one of them seperate? or even use the one i have now?

Alot of people on here use this one, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CO2-Doppelmanometer-Druckminderer-Feinnadelventil-/200339728503?pt=de_haus_garten_tierbedarf_fische&hash=item2ea52da877#ht_2272wt_1139

Myself included. Comes with all needle valve and solenoid.

This is the one I use on my Fire Ext setup, just connect it to the FE and plug into a timer and it turns on and off to what ever time you set it to. took about 6 days to get to me. dont come with a uk plug but easy to add one.

The reason i was asking about these two items is because its alot cheaper! £25 compaired to £60

On a budget at the moment so that makes a massive difference to me, means i could get it all set up including the FE for the same price as just the reg. Would i be ok to run co2 24/7 or is that a no go? can't see how i could fit my solenoid onto this reg?

I would not recommend running the co2 24/7 mate no.

Keep your eye on the classifieds section, people sell co2 stuff regular there. Might get the full works around the price you need.

Just had a look at my old reg which looks the same as this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CO2-Regulator-Dual-Gauged-Solenoid-Magnetic-Valve-A153-/160412057871?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item25594dc10f#ht_3095wt_905

and it looks as if the solenoid and needle valve will unscrew and attatch to the £15 reg up there :D
