Co2 Is Bad?

One of my friends has told me that CO2 can go badly in a fish tank.
Apparently it releases to much CO2 at the last 20% and it releases the last contents into the tank. This apparently stays in the tank and prevents the fish from getting oxygen, so they suffocate.
Is this by any chance true?

Well if it was true, everyone witha co2 system would have dead fish.

I have a co2 system & my fish are fine, you just have to manage the dosage.

A poor reg might crap out at lower volumes, but a filter might stop working at any point too, it happened in finding Nemo......

Its all about getting the amount right. Using a good regulator, bubble counter and CO2 monitor you can use CO2 with fish

30 Parts per Million.

If you haven't got one yet you'll want a drop checker, 4 dKH solution and pH indicator - this will show you the PPM in the tank.
Loads of guides on the net on what to do.
