when you have to clowns in a tank together for most of their lives will they become a mated pair? is there any way to change the outcome? im a total clownfish noob and im just trying to research lol

If you have two in the same tank, you will get one male and one female...the female, being the dominant one, becomes much larger than the male..so in a sense, you have a mated pair

Indeed, but this only happens if they are juvies together - it will not happen after they are adults.

So you buy two small juvies and one turns into the female and the other is male - the larger is the female
