Clown Plec With Malawi?

We're in the process of changing from tropical to Malawi and would like to know if our Clown plec 2.5 inch would be ok. I've not got the percific fish pinned down yetbut we are getting 5 Cukoo (spelling?) cat fish, on order.

Most plecos work well with most Africans. As long as the water is of high quality they tend to manage on quite well.

I was hoping to add some catfish in addition to the Plec, would they get along together?
