I have a 10 gallon and 20 gallon tank.
The 10 gallon has Tahitian Moon Black sand and is crystal clear, but the 20 gallon tank is always a little cloudy... I have put a dark green background behind it which helps a little, and also add a water claryfier which also helps a little.
The gravel and tank have been washed thoroughly, but the problem still persists. 2 weeks ago the water became very cloudy over the space of 24 hours without any reason and later that week I lost 3 fish.
I have now emptied the 20 gallon and I have cleaned it thoroughly again and have started a fishless cycle until I can find a solution.
What would cause this cloudiness in one tank and not the other? Logic tells me it may be the gravel, but it has now been in place for 3 months.... can anyone help?
