Hey everyone.

Just yesterday I layed down some Flourite gravel for a new planted aquarium, and filled it with distilled water. I had, and still have, intense cloudiness. I have left the filter on, despite a thought that the running filter could be contributing to continuous clouding.

Day two and it hasn't cleared up yet, so I'm debating whether or not to turn the filter off. Any one know what is the right choice?

it's just the stuff you added to the gravel. It should settle in a few days. If not you can get something like "Acurele", which will cause the fine particulate matter to clump together and fall to the bottom. It could also be the glass is dirty due to the dust in the water.
If it hasn't cleared in a few days try doing a complete water change. But don't disturb the substrate when you fill it back up. You can also try adding some fine filter wool/ floss (Dacron) to the filter. This will help to trap some of the fine stuff.
You can normally use tap water for the tank rather than distilled. It is cheaper than distilled.
