OK, my 46 bow front tank consists of:
9 glass cats
2 upside down cats
2 rope( or reed) fish
2 large snails
1 six inch peacock eel
1 large ( 7inches) black angle

My question is about my newly purchased root wood. the root is multicolored( light and dark) and on the lightest part, there is a clear type of fungus growing on the wood.

I let the wood soak in HOT water for a half a day or so, the water tinted a little bit ( which is to be expected) that doesn't bother me, the fungus does. It's been like that for 2 days now. the fish seem to be fine, but I just wanna make sure. I could post pics, but don't know how.
any help would be greatly appreciated

I found info on clear fungus growing on wood. for anybody who wants to know: it's of no threat to your fish, but it's not very pleasant to look at. it can live a week to a couple months. you can wipe it off when you do water changes, or just let it die out. that's all I got on it. I hope I helped someone

Thanks for sharing.
I'v seen that in my brothers turtle tank and often wondered what it is and why I get it.

If you want to get rid of it you could try boiling it, kills everything.
