cleaning the power filter

Im just wondering, is there a special way to clean the powerfilter ??
Lately when it slows down, i unplug it, and clean it off with a paper towel. But
is there any special tools out there to help clean it ??

there are brush sets you can purchase, I use an
old toohbrush myself as I'm a scrooge.
