Hi all just after some advice,i have got a nice piece of bog wood i would like to add to my tank but it has been out in the garden for about a year how would i go about cleaning and sterilizing it before i add was thinking maybe scrubing it and putting it in the oven for a little bit of coarse not gas mark 7 for a couple hours  but just enough to kill any baddies would this suffice.
Cheers Dean

Jet wash if it's strong piece of wood.

Then find a bucket large enough to cover the wood and fill with boiling water, a splash of thin beach if you wish. if you bleach air for 2-3 days befor adding to the aquarium.

Cheers mate is there any specific quantities of the bleach

i have always bleach/hot water soaked drift wood then rinsed and soaked in hot water then finaly kept some old tank water to leave it soaking in for a day or so.
