Hi,
I have 2 cleaner shrimps in my 60ltr tank. In the last 2 months, they have produced eggs 5 times, now i see one off them is now carrying eggs again!!!. They last laid eggs 2 weeks ago. Is this normal? Sholud i sepearate them and breed?
My tank is very healthy, all levels spot on, constantly between 25c-26c. In tank i have, 2 yellow tail damsels, 1 bi colour bleeney, 1 maroon clown, 1 fire shrimp, 2 herimts (1 red and blue leg), lots of live rock. I feed every one twice daily 6 days, once 1 day. I use dried and flakes daily, frozen spinach and bits once weekly, live brine shrimp every 2 or so weeks.
When i read up on fish selection, many of my choosen friends should never be in tank together. Its been great watching how behaviour of the fish change when i have added a new stock. After adding all inverts the damsel's were first, one constanlty claiming every inch of tank, tried his luck with shrimps but they stood their ground. Then i added the maroon, he calmed the damsels down for a while, almost acting like a "cooler" between them. It wasnt until i added the bleeny that now they are best buds, apart from the odd chase now and then.
What advice on my shrimps??
Ricky
