Hello
I have just setup my rena 370ltr which comes with a rena filstar xp3 that will have plenty of mature media added to avoid cycling but caution taken when stocking. I currently have a blue acara(3inches) that will be introduced shortly and next week i want to add one gold sev(juv) and 4 keyholes(juv) which i will reduce numbers when paired.
Does this sound ok. At a later date i would like to add some more e.g bolivian rams or angels, could this be done.

Any advice would greatfully be recieved, Keith.

I think you would be better off passing on the keyholes and going straight to the Bolivian rams: keyholes are shy by nature and rarely do well without dithers and not that often with larger fish.

You may want to add tank dimensions, it will give people a better idea of the territory that each fish may want.

Thanks KK, the aquarium is 4x2x2ft

Keith, it sounds like you're on the right track. Everything you've sugfgested sounds feasible. Although, as Kitty Kat has said, keyholes can be rather shy and nervous.
Maybe instead of keyholes you could add a single festivum. They are usually fairly placid, yet able to hold their own in most SA setups. Another advantage is that they like the uppepr levels of the tank, which contrasts to most other cichlids which tend tp live in the bottom half more.

I reckon a BA, a sev, a festivum and a pair of bolivians or angels (although personally I would go for a singleton not a pair, due to less aggression hassle in the future), plus a small shoal of deeper bodied tetras, plus maybe a small catfish or two sounds like nice stock for a 4x2x2.
