Cichlid Holding

Hi,

My Female is holding - How long does this process go on for & what happens next?!

I don't really have another tank to put her or the fry is so whats the likelyhood of them surviving?

im not sure what type of fish you have but generaly its 17 to 21 days also varys with water temp.

So far with my Rustys, they seem to hold at least 3 weeks.

I find my mbuna seem to be hold anywhere from 21 to 28 days. If you want them to have the best chance of surviving without taking them out, is to have a bunch of rock piles using small rocks which will provide small hiding places for the fry. What kind of cichlid is it, what are the other fish in there and the tank size?
