I'm only in Liverpool and will want shrimp...

But my tank has only just finished cycling using fish flake added daily...

Are Shrimp OK to add as some of the first inhabitants ?

I'm planning on some Danio and similar sized then some corys and a few shrimp

I have a planted 4ft tank and Amonia, Nitrite and Nitrate are all now down to 0 and PH is 8, 26 degrees

would they be OK ?

:S I am too scared of killing them all to post, sorry.

well, im not to fussed if any pass away, they should be okay if you bag them a few times with water :)

Thing is i have plants taking over my tank, and i want to get rid of some :p

if you change your mind please let me know!

Yeop cherries are hardy by shrimp standards so they should be fine. Shrimp generally though are more sensitive to water parameters then fish so are an early warning system if tank conditions aren't right.

Saltnay...I thought you wanted some for your pond?

Yeah I got some from drewry, now I want some more to experiment with, I am growing elodea outside in a large box and need something to keep the algea down. I don't really want to move them from my tank and the ones in the pond are surviving but seeing more then one is rare so it would take me all day sitting with the net and waiting to catch a sufficient quantity as they hide in the hair algae/blanket weed its only 1" thick but that is enough to hide a cherry easily.
