We just bought a new 60L tank on Sunday to replace our tiny 20L and i was wondering what procedure i should follow to ensure the best transition for the fish between the two.

Currently we have 2 adult mollies, 4 guppies, 2 platties, 5 neon tetra and a Bristle-nosed catfish. Also several baby mollies about 3 weeks, several mickey mouse platties about 2 weeks and at last count 13 guppies that are a day old.

I was thinking its probably safer to introduce the adult fish first and let the little ones grow up a bit more before moving them to their new home.

Im leaving the new tank running for a week before starting to put the fish in and have de-chlorinated it already.

Any tips on what i need to do to ensure the safest transfer for my family :D

take your time adjusting your fish to the new tank (floating in the bag along with driping water form the new tank into the bag) also dont add all the fish right away n'less you do a fishless cycle... im not for shure on what fish in your list is best to cycle with(i think its the mollies).... but im shure someone here will know. use a nylon stocking and put a handfull of gravel from your aged tank in it and hang it in your new tank that shold help with the cycleing.

edit: leave the fry alone... they need time befor you can safely move them.
