Changing filter during fish in cycle

I'm doing a fish-in cycle and want to change my filter. (the whole unit) Will this cause any problem? I'm about 3 weeks in and the fish are healthy.

As long as you retain the original filter media, and place it into the new filter, it shouldn't cause issues.
