Been looking at a new tank and ideally wanted a trigon 190 but decided it is to big fo my needs.

was looking at a cayman tank and stand today was 120L but very pricey at £330 for the tank and £150 for the stand. It did have a filter, heater, 2 18w bulbs, thermometer and a built in light timer but seems rather expensive

any one see or used one?

I used to sell these at my old works.
on the whole a good tank.
we did have a few that had heater issues (ie over heating tank)
If it were me I'd look at the fluval range (uno, duo, duo deep etc) as they are similarly priced and, IMHO, better than caymans.

thanks the wolf

thing is i dont need a heater as its gonna be for my fancy tailed goldfish, and it looks like the heater is wired in.

for aprox £250 less i can get a new Juwel Rio 125 with stand which seems a better price for a tank.

if you can remember how much were the Cayman 80 (dunno why its called 80 as it stated 120l) tanks only selling for?

thanks

oh i am limited to cayman, juwel, biorb (washes my mouth out) and fish are fun tanks. any others would mean internet shopping and postage of £100+

around the £300 mark, not too sure on that one.

in that case I'd go with the Juwel, easier to get spares/replacement parts etc
and their after sales service is great.
Plus you can always sell the juwel heater on ebay and get a bit of cash back. ;)

cheers

i have come across a juwel RIO 160 which is exactly what I want but I have never heard ofit and none of the online sellers stock it (jsut looking forprice)

any one heard of the RIO 160

I think there is a company called ocean range who do some cheap tanks I know they have the tanks on Britains Aquatic Superstore website, google it :) i'm lazy :)
