This is my little girl Baylee, a red leopard Catahoula, jokingly referred to as a "Catawhat??"
The Catahoula Leopard Dog is the state dog of Lousiana (circa 1979) and named after the Catahoula Parish where they originated. We adopted Baylee from a local shelter as a puppy who was about to be euthanized.
This was on our second visit to the Vet for another round of vaccines. Looks thrilled right?:
...and she refused to sleep alone for the first few months:
...but now she will sleep anywhere:
...and when you go outside without her she patiently waits for you at the window:
...and eventually will get tired of the camera and conveniently blink every time you hit the shutter:
