Carpetting

Hi I would like to create a carpet in my tank it is approx 300l operating 1 x t5 tube light and 1x t8 tube light usually on for over 8hrs a day and I occasionally add liquid ferts what plants are good for this? and how do I go about making it? any help is ,uch appreciated

What wattage are you bulbs? Do you have good flow around the substrate?

The second is quite important when it comes to carpeting IME. Personally, if you're not going to use C02, i would look down the route of Riccia for the carpet effect. It would certainly be cheaper in a 300ltr.
