Right now im trying to get a really nice planted aquarium right now I have some fire moss in the tank or flame moss... I just put in today some Riccia Fluitans hoping for better results.... The plants are really healthy but the flame moss is growing really really slow and when you get a 3 X 5 inch section its just not that big and with my big aquarium it would take all day. I got this Riccia Fluitans hoping it will grow faster. Is there any other carpet plants that anyone can suggest. Im looking for a hardy plant that can grow in a regular aquarium with average lighting. My tank is a 40 gal eclipse 3. Oh and I also have 4 RBP's in the tank and they like to kick #### out of some of my plants.. Im basically willing to try anything tho so let me know thanks.

The planted section would give you better answers...

Moss is a very slow growing plant even in high-ligh, CO2 and fert conditions. So you just have to wait.

Could you tell me RBP's stands for? Annoyingly there aren't many foreground plants in the hobby which are simple to grow, you could try Echinodorus tennelus, Pogostemon helferi (downoi) or perhaps Eleocharis parvula.

RBP stands for red belly pirhanas... and thanks for the plants..

Hi goosej13 :)

I'll move your thread to the Plant section of the forum. You might get some more suggestions too.

Thanks... Im new to this board and not sure how it all works haha

a bit more information would be a bit better.

How much lighting is AVG? what's your wpg (watts per gallon)
Are you dosing with ferts. ie : Estimated index

Before we recommend a plant we want to know it has a chance :)
