Hello everyone. So I was trying to grow a monte carlo carpet for the past 2 years and just couldn't get it right, it would turn brown and then I would buy some more to try again. Wanted to know you guys and gals opinion on what is the easiest carpet to grow in a freshwater tank?

Hello everyone. So I was trying to grow a monte carlo carpet for the past 2 years and just couldn't get it right, it would turn brown and then I would buy some more to try again. Wanted to know you guys and gals opinion on what is the easiest carpet to grow in a freshwater tank?

In my very first tank with no co2 or anything I had good luck with Marsilea hirsuta (water clover). Well until the black algae ate my tanks. You can see what it looks like in the first picture of the tank log in my signature. It spread pretty fast and was the last thing to die.
