Can't Get Rid Of Diatoms?

Anyone got any ideas? My ammonia is 0.5ppm but still getting diatoms on the rocks, seen some additives that kill ammonia but duno if they any good? Prob because I disturbed the substrate the other day which wouldn't have helped. Or was wondering if I should throw in some filter start to get more bacteria in the filter........help lol.

Wow, blunt. Anyway, added some filter start as i'm not that sure the filter was completely cycled, woke up today and they're disappearing also ordered some purigen to be safe and removed some of the filter wool, still got loads of sponge and other media in there but I think it was a bit full and slowing the pump a little.

1 x apple snail will keep the tank clear of diatoms once you are cycled properly obviously

An apple snail will kinda spoil the perspective of the tank, giant snail with tiny fish and shrimp lol, thanks for the input tho dude
