Can Tropical Fish Eat Goldfish Good?

Ok, i went to the lfs and bought gold fish food by mistake, would it be ok for my tropical fish to eat it for the next week or two because im not back in town until 1 week.3

Shouldn't do them any harm it just won't give them the nutrition that is in tropical flake food. I told my mum to get tropical flake food for a pound and she came back with goldfish flake food and my fish seem to be doing OK.

Its not ideal, since goldfish food is often filled with clay (to mimick their natural diet) but for a few weeks, yeah it shoudl sustain them.

On Saturday i gotta go to the lfs because one of my tanks heater has stoped working, all fish have been transferred to another tank for now.

There's not as much protein in goldfish food and tropicals need more protein but it won't harm them for a week or two.

It'll be fine, goldfish food contains slightly more fat, but it'll be fine for a few weeks.

I have fed my tropicals on goldfish food when I ran out and my golden rudd on tropical food. As long as they eat it won't do any harm short term
