I had a houseplant that was doing lousy so before I threw it away I took a bunch of cuttings and floated them in the tank eventually planting them. They seem to be doing well and even forming new leaves with only fluorescent hood light. Is there a chance they will spread or just grow upright? I really thought the leaves would just rot off being submerged constantly but months in, not a one. Front plant, the rear one is (gasp) plastic.

Me too. Sick with cacti. I have some that have been dead for 15 years and still look like nice cactus.

Yep, the leaves need to be above the water's surface. If you can position the leaves above the water's surface it will grow like crazy as it sucks the excess nutrients from your tank. I used Pothos in my Archerfish tank (initial set-up) and was it amazing. I also have also used it in ripariums and paludariums.

Thanks for that. I really can't keep them that way with a full hood on the tank. Oh well, it was worth a shot I guess.
