i wanted to know if i could put a flame gourami in with these fish

55gallon
3 mollies two black one white lyretail
1 female swordtail hopefully carrying more
2 guppies male and female
1 sucker

I'm guessing it's not a livebearer, so this question should actually be in the betta and gourami section.

I'll answer this post here, regardless, seeing as how it will be moved later.

Now, actually, when I said help, I meant I will regurgitate information I just read. Three sites on google (all done by amateur aquarists, from the looks of it) say that these guys are aggressive. From my own experience, dwarf gouramis tend to get aggressive towards the other fish, but in a 55 gallon tank, if the fish isn't too aggressive (wait for other responses first) and has a large territory and hiding places to call his own, he shouldn't be too aggressive towards the other fish.
 
Whoops, the betta will not do too well with this fish. You'll probably have to move him to add gouramis because even if the gourami(s) aren't very aggressive, the betta will pester them and will be attacked, losing horribly in the ensuing scuffle.
