This may be a really silly question but can I have a uv light instead of my standard white light. Im still quite new and need alot of advice.

No. Ultraviolet (or atleast PROPER ultraviolet) can cause skin cancer and does similar to your fish. If your talking about the kind of UV you get in bars etc, then still a no as it is noway near bright enough. If dimmed down alot, it would make a nice night light though. :)

I have an ultroviolet light as well as a white light. Sometimes i run them at the same time.
Should it be alright. It is a bar light and isn't very intense. It did come with the tank so it should be ok?
