Hi I have set up a new tank for my baby corys to go into, I have successfully done a fishless cycle and have 4 danio fish in it, they are doing well. My question is this, at the moment I have my baby corys in a breeding net in my other well established tank (there are 32 of them) so I was thinking of maybe putting half of them into another breeding net in the new tank. Do you think they will cope with this move? They are 26 days old so are very young, I have checked the water quality in both tanks and they are the same apart from the ph which is ever so slightly higher in new tank, when I say slightly I do mean slightly, so small a difference I couldn't even say what the difference is. Anyway any replys would be a great help, as I don't want to kill them all, spent too much money and time setting up their new home!!

It's doable, as long as you acclimatise them properly.

Remember, there's much more to water stats than what our everyday test kits will measure for.

Use the water from your main tank and put into the new tank :good: , this will save any acclimatisation of the wee youngsters.

When i moved mine initially, i filled the tank about 3/4 full with the water from the main tank, put in the corys then slowly added temperature match fresh water to top it up.then i also re-filled my main tank with fresh declorinated water. :good:

Personally i would put all fry into the new tank and let them grow.... they will do better than being stuck in a breeding net :good:

I set up a 15g fry tank and that's where they all go. It's like a miniature version of the tank they'll eventually be in, with sand bottom, plants and driftwood. They do much better in an environment like this and grow bigger and faster.
