Can I get my kuhlis to come out?

I used to have four kuhlis which swam about during the day. Two died and the other two stopped coming out in the day. I replaced them 2 or 3 weeks ago so there are now four again but they don't ever come out, not even at night (I got up at 3am last night and they weren't out even then). Is there anything I can do about it?

Hmmm doubt there's much you can do except tempt them out with food. I never see mine except at feeding time.

Hehe, easier said than done. If i don't put the food in their hiding place then they just go without - simple as that.

we've got 3 in the office tank.
they come out occasonaly to munch wafers...
but i do normally hear ours at night... they dig in the gravel and you hear the gravel on the glass

how many hiding spaces do you have. i find they are more comfy if there is alot of hiding spots. but i have 7 khulis and they aren't so shy, they come out at all hours of the day.

Thanks AW0L - I don't have that many hiding places as I used to because most of my plants have died. I'm going to put in a couple of small flower pots today so I'll see if that changes anything .

Well, they came out this evening. I'm not sure whtere it was the new flower pots, them just settling in or starvation that did it, but at least they came out.
