Can I And Do I Feed My Fish Beef Heart?

I have read on a few sites and books that you can feed your fish beef heart. Is this true and if so how do i feed it. i would have thought cook it get all the fat off, and then freeze it then grate it into small peices. Tell me if i'm wrong please. or even if i'm right just so i know, as i was thinking of doing it.
