Just got back from local garden & aquatics centre.Fancied some new mushrooms and spotted a pink thing hiding underneath.
No idea what it is,paid £24 for the Mushies..knowing my luck it will be something that'll be a nightmare to keep!
Picture isnt the best, took it with my phone after i'd put it in the tank.

Any ideas would be great thanks.

does look like it could possibly be the foot and bulles of a nem, a mangled one on its way out if it is.

Deffo a fragment of bubble tipped nem...keep an eye on it as i have seen these guys being fragged into smaller pieces and everyone taking off and developing into young anemones. Nice little freebie if it takes off for you !!

Just checked the tank and its now moved off the rock it was on and gone about 6 inches along onto another rock, also expanded and looks bigger by about half again.

Yep would agree with everyone - the only thing, it is rather a bright coloured foot for a BTA but maybe the camera is not showing the correct colour?

Have you got any prawns (just half as he is a baby) or silversides, if so try feeding him, gently lay the food in his tenticles, if he wants it he will grab it and move it to his mouth, not to worry if he ignores it though.

Also, powerheads  keep a very close eye on him if he starts to roam the tank - they can move fast when they want  and will easily get sucked in to the powerhead and minced

The purple/pink colour of its foot is a little over exposed in the picture but it is very vivid.

Thanks for the advice about feeding.Only have cooked prawn in so will have to go out and buy a few raw ones.Wasnt really expecting to be having an Anem in the tank!
