This morning I awoke to find a neon tetra alive but "floating" around the tank.....its gills were moving but it was otherwise lifeless....needless to say, I euthanased it....I won't say how unless people ask as it has been a bone of contention on the forums lately....
AND this afternoon I was discouraging my cat from watching the new fish in quarantine (C. moorii) when I found one behind the tank on the carpet....dead....it still felt slightly warm so obviously hadn't been out of the tank long, but long enough to kill it.....the only way it could have gotten out was to jump....needless to say the tank is well secured from any jumping fish!!!
So there.....two dead fish in one day....
Bye bye fishies!!! May you be happy in the big pond in the sky
