Hello, hope every one's well!

I'm just wondering if any one's ever bought any live fish over the Internet before? It's something I'm considering as I would like to get a few fish that I don't seem to be able to get in local pet shops. There seems to be alot of websites selling them so I just wondered if anyone has ever bought fish online before and if so was your experience good or bad?

I buy most of my fish online, since the fish I keep aren't really found in the stores. I've only ever had one problem before, but out of numerous times, it's really not that bad. I find that the fish are better quality and nicer than in the local shops.

Where are you located? I can steer you to some nice places if you are in the US. :)

I have bought a large percentage of my fish on line. Many that I wanted to keep and breed were not available to me locally. If you can find a good vendor, the fish that come in the mail can be at least as good in quality as what you get locally and provide you with a lot more variety. The biggest down side to buying fish on line is that they end up costing quite a bit by the time you pay for the priority shipping. I would not mail order or on line order a fish that I could get at the LFS because it would be cost prohibitive. On the other hand, equipment or fish food is very often much cheaper on line at places like ebay than it would be at the LFS and the shipping does not bring it back up much because the ovrenight delivery is not needed for equipment or fish food.
