Woo Hoo :hyper: Picking up 6 Bumble bee shrimps tonight does anyone have any & any advice on keeping them alive???

Nice! :)
Read up on anything to do with Crystal Red Shrimp. They're essentially the same species. Cute little things. :) Best advice would be to give them very clean water and make sure you don't keep them with anything that might eat them...

Bumblebee shrimps are a soft water shrimp an are highly sensitive to bad water params so superclean water is a must.

Yeah they are soft water shrimp same as crystal reds though, PH 6.5 and a KH of between 3 and 5 is ideal for them, temp between 21C and 25, I keep mine at 22C. Super clean water, with not a hint of ammonia or nitrite. Feed them very little nothing like you would feed fish, any uneaten food is best removed after and hour, I leave veg in the tank for a day then remove it if they havent finished it.
good luck with them

Thanks guys they are so cute look a little lost in tank at the mo but am sure they will get a little more curious once they've settled. Got them from gogosnails on e-bay they seem very good :good: Now my mollie has dumped a load of fry in the tank!!!

I'm pretty sure mollies will make a snack of bumblebees, not to mention mollies should net be kept in soft water.
