Bugs In My Tank

I'm into week two of my new tank and fishless cycle, did a 50% water change last weekend because I was bored of my set up (I know I'll stop messing, promise)threw out some plants that looked like something had been eating them (lfs persuaded me they were hardy) partially replaced with some artificial (only have amazon swords now) and added a small bag of washed lfs sand. Last night I noticed "an apple seed" sliding down the artificial plant and thought it was a pod broken off another plant I had thrown, however, it is moving around with purpose and I have now spotted another one the same size and two "baby ones" they are definately lifeform.....but what? Look a little like a baby brown ladybug?? any ideas as its creeping me out and I'm not going to be adding precious fish till I know what they are. Trying to catch one to take a pic but they just slide into the gravel and I can't see them

Baby snail from the live plants? They move pretty #40## fast for snails its impressive and when they're small and young they're hard to distinguish between a small pebble or a snail. Net one of your plants out when its on it and just see if it is a snail or not. If it is it will likely die during your fishless cycle anyway, if not scoop em out.

Ok, so they have doubled in size over night, or the mom and dad have decided it is safe to come out, they now definately look like little snails, and as JoshuaA said, they move darned quick.

The markings look like this: and it is the size of a smiley face so now I know they are not crawlies I now dont want them to die! I have 5 at the mo!

I have three of these in my tank, think they are Bladder Snails?

Thats them! Just googled bladder snail and that is exactly what they look like, thanks all, mystery solved. Can't believe how fast they get around, like they are moonwalking! Trouble is they appear to breed excessively so I guess they won't all be staying
