Bugs in my tank??

Hello...I've been breeding guppies and mollies for several years, and today I discovered that there are these little bugs swimming all over in one of my tanks! There tiny...at first I thought they were baby guppies but as I looked closer I realized they had no bodies...they're like these little round heads that swim around REALLY fast and are eating my plants. There are TONS of them!!! Any advice on how to get rid of them!? Much thanks to anyone who can help!

My brother had a problem like that except he didn't have any fish yet because the tank was stil cycling. What exactly is in the tank? If the inhabitants can be moved then I would move them and do some water changes. Are the fish eating the little bugs? I bet that a bug got in the tank and layed it's eggs in it. I'm not sure if this helps any but I had to say something. If they're eating your plants then maybe if you take out the plants and cut of their food supply they'll die and leave you alone.
