Purchased 4 betta tanks that came with a cheap filter. Each of them are bubbling tremendously . Any suggestions besides getting new filters. Thanks.

Turn the air pump down. Most air pumps have a dial to increase or reduce the air output. If the pump does not have one the air flow can be reduced by loosening the screw on the side of the pump. There should be a small screw on the side of the pump that is attached to the air chamber inside the pump. If you loosen this screw a small amount it will reduce the amount of air being produced by the pump.

If that doesn't work put a T-piece and tap on the pump outlet and bleed some of the excess air off. Attach a length of airline (about 12 inches) to the tap so it muffles the noise from the air.

Last resort is to get a smaller pump that will pump less air.
