just brown algae and nothing to worry about. you can hose it off or leave it.

New tank algae is usually brown. I find that snails do an excellent job of managing not just brown algae but most algae.
Nerite snails do well and wont reproduce in fresh water and eat large amounts of algae. Ramshorn snail will eat most soft algae as well though not as quickly as nerites Ramshorns will reproduce.
As with all snails they will benefit from some calcium and magnesium in the water, measured in GH(general hardness) and do best in a GH of no lower than 6. If one has a GH below 6 i wouldnt recommend snails.
If one doesnt want snails then brown algae is easily removed manually

I love my Zebra snail, but if you get a female, be prepared for white eggs literally everywhere. That said, the pros outweigh the cons, and my word can they move. She will do a lap of my tank in a blink of an eye!!! Proper little algae vacuum, I def recommend a nerite snail....
