one of my halides has a crack in it. Some how it must of gotten damaged. I have two new bulbs coming by tuesday. My question is, could this halide be giving off more uv light than it was when it wasnt crack.

the reason I am asking is that my spaghetti finger looks like it got fried. parts of its limps are charcoal black and when you touch the coral and swipe rough water across it the black and some flesh peels off. any idea what this maybe. I think it got a severe sun-burn

Absoloutely yes! Disable it immediately. Halide lights whose outer shield is comprimised must be shut down as soon as humanly possible. Serious damage to yourself or your livestock can result if you fail to fix it.
