Hey all

i was just wondering if 2 bristlenose catfish would be ok for a 190 litre aquarium? i have being reading on sites but would rather get a opinion from you guys :)

im currently making a couple of caves out of a plant pot which should be done in a couple of days (covering in java moss as well) for them to hide in

i know about all the feeding and everything just wondered if 2 would be ok in my tank :)

currently has 3 guppys in and going to get some tetra as well

Cheers

oh another question

i read they prefer good oxygen levels in the tank does this mean i will have to get a airstone?
or will normal levels be fine? (surface agitation and i have some plants in there)

I have 3 in my 165 Litre (curse you LFS buy 2 get 1 free - how could I resist?)- it's a bit poop crazy at times! I have no airstone but aeration is good. Now I know that I have a male and 2 females I'm looking forward to the possiblity of the swooshing of tiny fins. Got lots of caves and some mopani wood. They're great little characters.

Make sure that you regularly clean the substrate as they are heavy waste producers

thanks for the tip ill definately clean the substrate often :)
im also looking forward to giving breeding them a go :)
Cheers
