Bristle nose

Hello all, I wanted to know what type of alage eating fish do you all have in your tanks I put a bristle nose in about 1 month ago, it ended up dead 1 week later! I just putting another in yesterday, It seems ok my fish don't really try to hurt it but they will come up and pick at it every now and then , It sticks up for its self too, spikes come out and will try to get them.

I want one more o and it does not seem to be sucking the rocks , Maybe cuz it has only been in there 2 days now? I hope it gets to sucking I have alot of alage for her, Also do you think I should get a male??? mabey that will take away from them just picking on her?

I love my Ancistrus! I keep them in a planted tank so they eat algae and plants. I never feed them. They've done fine for years.

I have a whiptail catfish in with my betta and my community tank has none right now as it is getting changedin a few weeks. I will put 3 or 4 cory's in the new tank though
