Breeding Dwarf Bettas

Unfortunately, that's the problem with attempting to create dwarf species

Yeah I was prepared for that . If this second batch doesn’t make it . The next thing I could do is breed the male to the smallest plakat or pkhm female I can find and see if that help solves anything . But there’s not much more I can do after that . I will say that the saving grace is that this was the first breeding of both the father and mother . So that could have caused some kind of issue

The second batch didn’t make it either . And I do not think I can put the bettas through the stress of new partners either to see if that helps . I don’t think they will stay in good health after another breeding with new mates

I have a couple bettas that I might restart the project on . They are small and healthy and both different tail types . So the genetics will be even further apart from each other . The male is only a couple inches and the female is and inch and half . So I might be able to still make a dwarf breed . They just won’t have a half moon tail . They’ll be veiltail hybrids
