Does anyone know a sp brand of dark blue paint I could use to paint the back of an aquarium. I just got a bigger tank and want to paint the back rather than trying the tape and backing route again, its pointless and ends up bubbly and ugly.

Or if you could give me a sp type of paint, I can have a look in B&Q or homebase for it.

thanks

I have heard that B+Q supply a "stone effect" paint in a spray can that is supposedly fine in an aquarium. But I have heard mixed reports on this.

Will have to see what other members say.

Thanks, I would pref something I could use a roller and slap it on the back. Im just worried about salt water and the type of paint I need to get.

I should really read down the page before making threads. I just found "I asked same question about 8 months ago and I went with the majority on tile paint

I got royal blue tile paint from b and q and it was spot on, easy to use and an even better than expected finish when dry "

I guess that answers it lol

Fair enough, and this paint was used on the inside of the tank??

I presume the varnishing effect of the tile paint seals it so no toxins can leak into the aquarium.

Good luck with your painting :good:
