Pics are in my sig, if you can make them out. One looks like seaweed almost, the other is very tall, big leaf blades. My question is, at the end of the root system, there is a plastic band tying it all together. If I leave that on, will it allow for the roots to spread? The seaweed looking plant practically fell apart when I took off the banding, seemed to be individual plants wrapped together or something.

u can/should remove those rubber bands and root wool, those stems that were banded together can all be planted separately.

just my .02

Got any better pics? If you have good circulation in your tank I'd say the tall one is non aquatic as is it was Vallis it wouldn't be dead straight.

Oh and the other looks like oxygenating weed but I may be wrong as there are a few plants that look a bit like that.

I don't know what the plant is, but I bought it from petco, it was in a filtered tank and they all seemed rather healthy.. lost the receipt which had the actual name but I'll take one out and get a picture.

Sorry, shouldve specified... the far left one is plastic, and the one directly in front of the skull is plastic as well.

Valliseneria (I think it may be nana)is the tall stuff and the plants in clumps are Egeria densa.

Vallis doesn't stay straight like that out of water, I had something similar once and it lasted about a year then just rotted, I may be wrong but I don't think its aquatic.

Valis nana does, hence why I think it may be that, I remember having nana, it is very rigid.

Not Vallis.
Looks like Cyperus helferi. It's a nice plant. Can even be grown in low tech, non CO2 tanks.

It looks like the water onion I have. Does it have a bulb on the end? If not then no clue.
